The chest that appears after the first quest in FoW drops better if everyone gets the reward from the quest before opening it.

I'm so sick of it.

If you drop several gold items on the ground before you open a chest, it greatly improves the chance that the chest will contain a gold item.

I've also heard a variant of this regarding ecto - drop some on the ground in UW and you'll have a greater chance of collecting more while you're down there.

nope, it do happen, 3 days ago in uw, first one as purple, next chest was gold.

hmm I noticed a pattern that if a purple drops, everytime after droped a purple

single chests are already predetermined to drop only purples or golds. i've never seen the same chest drop both purples and golds for players anymore.

Not the next chest, but the next person to open the same chest. Slight confusion here I think in the wording.

Apparently, haven't had much time to test this theory, but if you look at a chest before you open it you can determine what kind of item will drop. It will appear with a purple tint it will drop purple.

How about this gem, it's a pick-up and play game. No grind required.

This one is common too.

About the ecto drops, that's not impossible, we had a run last night, and twice did we have 2 ecto's right after one another, while they weren't picked up yet. Ecto's usually get picked up asap. You'd really have to trust other people to try this for real though.

Favor affects boss spawns in PvE
